FCCI’s Board of Directors is comprised of experienced business leaders who have distinguished themselves in various fields.
Their guidance and direction are critical factors in determining FCCI’s vision and plans for the coming years, while ensuring the company remains true to its guiding principles.
In 2017, FCCI was fortunate to add two new members to the Board — Lisa Carlton and Mike Welch.
Lisa Carlton, J.D.
As an eighth generation Floridian and co-owner of the Mabry Carlton Ranch, Inc., a cattle operation and citrus grove in Sarasota, Fla., Lisa Carlton knows agribusiness. As a former President Pro Tempore and 10-year member of the Florida Senate, who also served two terms in the Florida House of Representatives, Lisa knows the state legislation. She joined the FCCI Board of Directors in July 2017 and is already contributing her forward-thinking focus to the Board’s discussions and decisions.
James Michael Welch
Mike Welch has been associated with FCCI as an independent agent for more than 30 years.
He began his insurance career in Florida in 1973 as a property adjuster. He eventually opened his own insurance agency, Commercial Insurance Marketing, Inc., along with his wife, Nadine. Mike is now retired from the insurance agency and joined the FCCI Board of Directors in September 2017. His acute understanding of FCCI’s history, industry knowledge and agent perspective brings a wealth of experience to the Board.
